Setting a session as permanent or temporary

How to transform a session into a permanent or temporary session?

Now, you have the possibility to indicate if a session is permanent or temporary. Permanent sessions don't have an expiration date, while temporary sessions have one.

Note: When a new session is created, by default it is temporary (1-year duration with non-recurrent meets).

However, you have the option to change this. If you change the session to "Permanent", the session will remain open until you change it back to temporary again.

This new functionality can be found in release note version: 0.32.00.

Change a session to permanent

Access the session tab. There click on the session you want to change.

After clicking on the desired session, you will see the session settings. There, you have access to the session durability setting. Activate this option by clicking on the button and the session will not expire.

You are going to receive a notification indicating that the operation was successful.

As you may see, the session duration will appear on the session table under the column "Last access" and will be defined as "Permanent".

Change a session back to temporary

To set a session back to temporary, simply click again on the desired session. Then, on the session durability setting, deactivate the option by clicking on the button.

A window will pop up to confirm that you really want to remove the session permanence and set it back to temporary. If you are sure, click on "Withdraw".

You then are going to receive a notification indicating that the operation was successful. This way, the session will expire after 1 year since the last access.
